Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Half Arms Waxing.

Most clients enjoy smooth arms for three to six weeks depending on personal hair growth. Regular waxing often leads to finer regrowth and more extended intervals between appointments.

Sensation varies by individual and area, but most describe brief discomfort rather than intense pain. We use fast, professional technique and can recommend topical numbing if you are especially sensitive.

Arrive with clean, dry skin and hair about 1/4 inch long. Avoid heavy sun exposure, retinoids or exfoliation 48–72 hours before. Notify the technician of any medications or skin conditions.

Avoid hot baths, heavy exercise and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Apply a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe. Exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.

Ideal hair length is about 1/4 inch (6mm). Too short and the wax won’t grip; overly long hair can be trimmed prior to waxing for best results.

Avoid waxing with sunburn, open wounds, active skin infections, recent chemical peels, or isotretinoin use. Inform us of blood thinners or skin conditions; we’ll recommend alternatives or a patch test.
